About me
| I was born and raised in Europe, more specifically in Denmark. I lived there until I at 18 years old came to the US to be an au-pair. Towards the end of my stay as I was preparing to go back home to Denmark, I met and fell in love with the man that would become my husband. I decided to settle down in the US with him and began to study child development and women's studies in college. I knew I wanted to work with children and women, at the time I just wasn't sure exactly how. I have been married to my husband Thomas for 10 years. Together we have two wonderful and very active children; a 5 year old son named Daniel and a 1 year old daughter named Sofia .They keep me quite busy. Birthing my children naturally was the most empowering experience I have ever had. After giving birth the first time I knew I had to make the miracle of birth part of my everyday life. I absolutely love witnessing birth. For me, being a doula is a calling. It is something I have to do. |
